The Daily vocab


 1. Intrinsic(adjective):- belonging naturally; essential.(स्वाभाविक)

  Synonyms- inherent, innate, inborn, elemental

  Antonyms -extrinsic,extraneous,adventitious

  Example-  Eyes is the intrinsic part of the body.

  2.Reminiscent(adjective):-tending to remind one of something.(स्मृति जगानेवाला)

  Synonyms- evocative ,redolent

  Antonyms – unreminiscent

  Example- the sights were reminiscent of my childhood.

  3. Assimilate(verb):-take in and understand fully (information or ideas).(आत्मसात्‌ करना)

  Synonyms- subsume,acculturate,embrace

  Antonyms – reject,exclude,eliminate

  4. Prevailing(adjective):- having most appeal or influence; prevalent. (प्रचलित)

 Synonyms-  prevalent,predominance

 Antonyms – minor,trivial,unimportant

 Example-  Diwali is the prevailing festival of the Hindu religion.

  5. Fortify(verb):-provide (a place) with defensive works as protection against attack.(मज़बूत करना)

   Synonyms- buttress,bolster,reinforce

   Antonyms – enfeeble,exhaust,impair

   Example- Soldier always  fortify the general public

  6 .Disavow (verb):- deny any responsibility or support for.(अस्वीकार करना)

  Synonyms- deny, disclaim, disown

  Antonyms -accept, adopt, embrace, espouse

  Example-  the government will disavow any knowledge of your Mission

  7. Exacerbate(adjective):-make (a problem, bad situation, or negative feeling) worse. (कभी गलती न करने वाला)

    Synonyms- aggravate, make worse, worsen, inflame, compound

    Antonyms – allay, alleviate, assuage, ease,

    Example-   Economic condition of china is exacerbate.

  8. Prudence(noun):-the quality of being prudent; cautiousness.(विवेक)

  Synonyms- wisdom, judgement

  Antonyms – folly, recklessness

  Example-  we need to prudence in such important matter.

  9.Catapult(noun):- hurl or launch (something) with or as if with a catapult.  

  Synonyms- :-propel, launch, hurl, hurtle

  Example-   When the two vehicles collided, he was catapulted forwards.

  10. Alleviative – (adjective)-Reducing pain or severity.(  प्रशामक )

   Synonyms- mitigative, soothing

   Antonyms – aggravating

   Example-  Cold tea is alleviative for burns
